youTube joins the mobile revolution

It seems that everyone is adding a mobile channel to their platforms. youTube has just launched m.youtube.com which enables users of 3G and WiFi phones to log in and view video content.

To use the mobile channel you need to download a mobile application which is only available for a limited number of late model phones including the iPhone

Livecastr - Live Video from your Mobile

Livecastr has launched a platform that allow people to broadcast video ‘live’ from their mobile phone. The video can be viewed either from a friends mobile, the Livecastr site or from the Livecastr player which can be embedded into the ‘broadcasters’ personal web page or social network platform.

Livecastr is currently in private beta release which means that they are seeking people to test their platform for them. Look to Livecastr in the future becoming a important media channel for businesses wanting to participate in the newmedia conversation.

Google Launches Mobile Platform

Google has launched new mobile platform called Android which is an open platform for mobile devices. It enables the development of connectivity tools to be developed that links mobile to the internet. Google has also announced a $10million prize pool for develpers who build innovative apps for the platform.

So if you take all the technical mumbo jumbo away what does ‘Android‘ mean to consumers, business and markets. It simply comes down to one simple concept.
